I had fun with my shiny new camera, a Panasonic Lumix TZ-5 (which made some girls behind me so jealous they came up to me afterwards and wanted the model *g*). I also uploaded a bunch of little movies to Youtube. Enjoy! 🙂
I missed a couple of days on Project365 (March 1 and 21), I’m ashamed to say, but there were several occasions for me to play with my shiny new camera this month.
Fasnacht 2009
Went to Morgestraich with Fränzi at 4am on March 2. I’d missed Basel Fasnacht (carnival) so much, and this was a perfect morning! You can see all my photos under this tag on Flickr.
Using bananr.com to show off my Flickr photo album all nice and pretty, I added a page for my Project 365 photos.
In other news, I went to Basel last weekend and ended up at a skater party in Nordstern with Sibylle and Jean, where we also ran into Sibylle’s brother and his girlfriend. The music was all reggae, which got repetitive pretty quick, but still – dancing’s never bad, right?
Some of my friends came by yesterday afternoon – we had chocolate cake my mom made, talked a lot, went for a walk and then tobogganed down a lane around the corner from our place. I also got some lovely pressies and then made spaghetti with four different kind of sauces. It was a lovely day, everyone seemed to have fun. Perfect wrap-up of the holiday season for me…

On Flickr you can find the photos I took with my brandnew camera (a Panasonic TZ5 Lumix) over the holidays with my family and at the flat I’ll be moving into in February. Only one room (+ kitchen and shower), but absolutely lovely. I got the contract in the mail today and am quite excited!
On Sunday it’ll be the First Sunday of Advent, the official start of the holiday season here. It’s been appropriately cold and snowy – and I even picked out our tree already, from a field at the end of our road:
I just realized that my reading log, long neglected and finally imported here, had actually been hacked – every single post and page. A pity about my content, but it shows that getting rid of it was the right choice… I just don’t quite understand why it still showed my entries on the blog index page – I would have certainly noticed if that had been affected. Oh well, hopefully that’s all done now.
Anyway, it’s the weekend – a gloriously free weekend, with no appointments, no real plans. Sadly, also a weekend during which I’m struggling with a cold, which is not so much fun. However, I did at least finally get around to uploading the latest of my photos to Flickr. Here some of my favorites from the last couple of weeks:
