I’ve started my internship with ICYE in Bern this Wednesday (May 1 being Labor Day here in Switzerland) and everything is new and uncertain still. The plan is that I’m staying with Cindy, probably on a permanent basis (if we don’t get sick of each other), and go home to Basel only for my three-day weekends (the position is only 80%, so Friday is my free day). Right now I’m not very useful around the office yet, but hopefully that will change once I get settled in and can start taking on more responsiblity.

It’s all pretty exciting – I have to figure out a completely new routine, and until that happens I can’t help but feeling a bit lost. So for now I’m taking things one day at a time and hope for the best.
