Good day

Seems as if spring has returned – let’s hope it stays for a while this time around. I am really tired of January cold in May! For some reason I felt very content this afternoon, so much as I haven’t in a long time. I knew there were things to do, but it didn’t bother me – I just went my way and enjoyed every minute of being outside.

Even the hour with the shrink did not affect this peace, and I hope very much this is not a one-off… When I came home from uni, I felt so happy, I had the unusual (for me) urge to call people. And to anyone who knows about my slight phone phobia that should say something. Had a couple of nice conversations and finally hung up two hours later, having completely satisfied those weird social urges, in a very good way.

Also, I got a couple of cool computer-related links today, which I thought I’d share before signing off for the day. Just remember that I’m a Mac user, so this is mainly Mac stuff…

SideTrack (advanced trackpad driver for PowerBook/iBook)
KeyCues (find and learn menu shortcuts)
iDucks (cutest USB memory sticks ever)
BitTorrent and SuprNova.org (Peer2Peer file sharing client and a site with torrents to d/l)

And since I’m already reccing: Am currently listening to Maria Solheim, a young Norwegian singer who I discovered by chance a couple of months ago (picked a CD randomly in the library) and have come to love very much. I’ve been introducing people to her ever since – as Märrie puts it she’s “Dido minus the mainstream”. Lovely, lovely music!

Now I’ll turn in and will hopefully have as good a night as I had an afternoon/evening. 🙂
