Profession: student
Just having graduated after six years at the
University of Basel, learning has been the center of my life for a long time. Here you can find the
papers I've written during the last years, and there are some
interesting links that you might want to check out.
I love being a student. It gives me the opportunity to study for
knowledge's sake (well, mostly...) and gives me time to explore and
widen my horizons.
My major of Social Anthropology allowed me to combine my interest in in traveling and
the fascinating behavior and diversity of humanity. My minors were
Media Science and German Lit (a left-over from when German was my major, way back when), but my passion lies definitely in Anthropology
and other subjects that study human beings. I have also begun to be interested in how and why the internet works, on a social level, mainly because this is something that's very important in my everyday life.
In the end I graduated with a diploma
that equals an MA, after writing my thesis with the title 'Bridging the Digital Divide: Anthropology, Native Americans and the Digital Divide' and completing a number of exams in all three subjects. Now I plan on going abroad an
pursue a degree in Human Resource Management in New Zealand. Where that will lead me, I'm not quite sure yet, although I'm dreaming of working in an international organization like the UN. It's an
interesting journey, that's for sure...
