{"id":75,"date":"2003-10-26T13:48:12","date_gmt":"2003-10-26T17:48:12","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/chocolatedream.net\/blog\/archives\/2003\/10\/26\/gruyres-john-howe-exhibtion\/"},"modified":"2021-07-20T19:41:09","modified_gmt":"2021-07-20T17:41:09","slug":"gruyres-john-howe-exhibtion","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/multifaceted-abnormal.net\/blog\/archives\/2003\/10\/26\/gruyres-john-howe-exhibtion\/","title":{"rendered":"Gruyeres &#8211; John Howe exhibtion"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Saturday me and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.skallagrigg.org\" target=\"new\" rel=\"noopener\">Cindy<\/a> finally saw each other again (first time after months &#8211; one could think we lived in different countries instead of just different cantons) when we did a trip to Gruy?res (known mainly for its cheese) to see the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.castle-gruyeres.ch\/e\/default.htm\" target=\"new\" rel=\"noopener\">John Howie exhibtion<\/a> at the castle there.<\/p>\n<p>It was a beautiful day (if you didn&#8217;t mind the fact that it&#8217;s winter in October), and we discovered once more what a gorgeous country Switzerland is (although also pretty touristy) as we explored the castle and admired the snow-covered mountains surrounding it. Plus, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.john-howe.com\" target=\"new\" rel=\"noopener\">Howe&#8217;s<\/a> LOTR illustrations were awesome. I am such a Rings fanatic &#8211; can&#8217;t wait for Return of the King in December, so this was practically heaven for me! \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n<p><b>The village and castle of Gruy?res:<\/b><br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.chocolatedream.net\/files\/photos\/gruyeres.jpg\"> <img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.chocolatedream.net\/files\/photos\/gruyeres-eva.jpg\"> <img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.chocolatedream.net\/files\/photos\/gruyeres-cindy.jpg\"><\/p>\n<p><b>Some of my favorite pictures:<\/b><br \/>\nIt was such a pity that they didn&#8217;t sell any postcards, or even a calendar, only a book that was too expensive for me &#8211; so this had to do&#8230;<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.chocolatedream.net\/files\/photos\/howe-argo.jpg\"> <img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.chocolatedream.net\/files\/photos\/howe-weathertop.jpg\"> <img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.chocolatedream.net\/files\/photos\/howe-gandalf.jpg\"> <img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.chocolatedream.net\/files\/photos\/howe-bagend.jpg\"><\/p>\n<p>And now I have to go to work.
