{"id":490,"date":"2008-06-25T07:14:01","date_gmt":"2008-06-25T06:14:01","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/multifaceted-abnormal.net\/blog\/archives\/2008\/06\/25\/tattoo-4-12\/"},"modified":"2008-06-25T07:14:01","modified_gmt":"2008-06-25T06:14:01","slug":"tattoo-4-12","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/multifaceted-abnormal.net\/blog\/archives\/2008\/06\/25\/tattoo-4-12\/","title":{"rendered":"Tattoo #4 1\/2"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Another visit with <a href=\"http:\/\/www.rogerstattooart.co.nz\/\" target=\"new\">Roger<\/a>, and I walked away with my last (well, for the time being at least *g*) tattoo after only a bit over half an hour&#8217;s work:<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/shirasade\/2593796709\/\" title=\"Tattoo #4 1\/2 by shirasade, on Flickr\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/farm4.static.flickr.com\/3189\/2593796709_363e618be1_m.jpg\" width=\"180\" height=\"240\" alt=\"Tattoo #4 1\/2\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;m so happy with it, it&#8217;s the perfect commemoration of New Zealand. It&#8217;s a kirituhi (a Maori-style tattoo, but not a proper <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/T%C4%81_moko\" target=\"new\">moko<\/a>), a <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Koru\" target=\"_blank\">koru<\/a>, symbolizing &#8220;life, growth, strength and peace&#8221;. It&#8217;s also a feminine symbol and can be seen as a mother and child.
