Made the change to WP 1.5, using the DixieBelle theme. Still some glitches and all, but everything seems to be working for the moment…

Updated link lists
Cleaned out all dead links in Fun and games. Also, my list of Interesting people now contains only sites that I have syndicated and read regularly. If you’ve commented here, chances are you’re on that list… 🙂
No comment notifications
There seems to be something wrong with the sendmail settings on all my sites – email works just fine, but I’m not getting notifications from anywhere on my sites. So if you comment and I don’t answer, I might not have gotten your email. Although of course it might also be that I’m not at home and without net access – at least until next Thursday, when I come home from Scotland… 😀
A tough decision
Yesterday, I emailed all my hostees letting them know that most of them (namely those that I don’t really know) will have to find new homes for their sites until the end of March. I’ve been getting warning messages about running out of space for most of my domains, and I just had to face reality (finally) and come to a decision… Makes me sad, though, to think of all the people that will lose their sites because I basically turned them out. 🙁
You can find a copy of the note I sent out in the updates log, which is mirrored on all domain main pages. I really angsted about how to formulate this – I’m just very afraid of disappointing people, even people that are basically strangers. But it all comes down to money, unfortunately, and there was no other choice.
There’ll be quite a lot of work for me when I have to go through all the accounts I created for people, making sure they received the email (which they only did if they added their site to my hostee database, which is a requirement but probably not always followed). But first it’s Scotland, which I’m really looking forward to! *smile*
Oh, btw – I added a sticky welcome note to the top of the main blog page. Just thought it might be useful for people dropping by randomly…
Welcome to Multi-faceted Abnormal!
This is Evamaria’s blog – irregularly updated with random stuff about my life and the things that interest me. If you know me in real life, be sure to comment and let me know that you found me! Actually, the same goes even if you don’t know me in person – I love getting to know new people, even if sometimes I’m really bad about answering email. But I always do, eventually. Just be patient. 🙂
Anyway, you can find everything you might want to know in order to learn about me and navigate this site on the right – just scroll down, it’s all pretty self-explanatory (except maybe for ‘SAD’, which means seasonal affective disorder). Have fun surfing around!
New dream log
Because I can rarely tell my therapist about my dreams, I thought it might not be a bad idea to write them down best as I can when I do remember them, in a new category Dream log. Those posts will be password-protected, because I’d feel weird if anyone could read content that’s completely out of my control and at times quite personal. But you can comment or email and I’ll send you the password.
I f***ing hate spammers!
I’ve been happily spam-free on my blogs since installing the Authimage thing – until today. They’ve found a way to spam via trackback, and it doesn’t matter that I instantly disabled trackbacks, it just keeps coming. Argh! At least 20 spam mails, on three different blogs (both WP and MT). They’re caught by my spam filters, so they don’t show up on the actual sites, but they do clog my inbox and force me to go and delete them. This really pisses me off!
Blog tweaking
Tweaking
Been re-arranging and updating some stuff on chocolate dream. Only small things, like creating a separate links page and re-ordering the navigation links both on the overall site and on the blog specifically.
Just felt geeky like that. 🙂
A new spam attack
Apparently, some hackers find it fun to celebrate the holidays by spamming my blog with gibberish comments, which are impossible to stop for my spam filter. Therefore I have added the Keith McDuffee’s AuthImage plugin. When posting a comment you are now required to copy a code from an image, to prove that you are a human being and no evil spam bot.
Hopefully this will solve this problem!
