Yesterday was my birthday – I’ve been on this planet for a quarter of a century. Not really all that long, all things considered. 🙂

As has become tradition, the day was designated family time. We had planned to go up the Rigi for a day in the snow, but uncertain weather conditions made a 3 hour trip (one way) impractical. So instead we used the time off to go to Ikea. Not very festive but it was actually quite fun. And in the afternoon Michi and I watched a movie together (the poetic Spring, Summer, Fall, Winter… and Spring), before it was time for the cake (Black Forest cake – a surprise made by Michi’s girlfriend) and the presents. Afterwards we played board- and cardgames and had fondue for dinner.

Altogether it really was a good birthday – and the celebrations with my friends are still to come! Tonight I’m meeting some of my closest girlfriends for dinner at my favorite Italian, and next Friday it’s party time with about 20 people, some of which I haven’t seen for a long time. Just thought 25 would be a good opportunity… 🙂
