In seclusion

At least it feels that way, as I haven’t talked to anyone all day. I’m home alone for almost two weeks – my parents are on vacation in the mountains and my brother is a the Locarno film festival. I’m enjoying it, as it’s been a while that I had the house for myself. Not that I’m doing anything exciting: I’ve been holed up in my room working on my paper on online communities most of the day, and it’s been going pretty well, although I get side-tracked sometimes.

This is probably the best thing that could happen – no leaving the house, no talking to anyone, just focusing on my last paper, because I really want to finish before leaving for Japan in September. And in two weeks my German friend Märrie will come for a visit, which will probably cut into my study time quite a bit, although I’m very excited about it, as she hasn’t had the time to come to Switzerland for quite a long time. We’re going to have a lot of fun — especially if I manage to get ahead on the paper until then.

Yes, I am like a broken record these days. It’s called ‘setting priorities’. 🙂

Btw, on Friday I procrastinated and put together a tentative itinerary for Japan. Just check out my travel journal for it and any other posts I make about or during the trip! *hinthint* 😀
