Zündstoff needs help

Some of you will remember Z?ndstoff, the youth mag my brother and I are involved in. After it struggled as a regional magazine here in Basel, my brother’s friend Christian Keller, a 22-year-old student/part-time journalist for local newspapers and TV stations, who founded and ran the mag single-handedly, has been planning the national relaunch of the magazine for April.

The change to a nation-wide (or rather – a release in the German-speaking parts of Switzerland) mag was done mostly because the Basel edition had failed to attract the big sponsors interested in advertisting directed towards a young audience. Things looked much better, and preparations for the April launch have been going strong – until one of our biggest sponsors pulled back. So now we’re lacking 5000 Swiss francs (about $4300) to be able to publish the magazine – and are desperately looking for people willing to sponsor us.

I don’t quite know why I’m posting this here, since a) no one here is rich and b) the mag is published in Switzerland, in German, so not exactly a cause that most of you would have any reason to support. But I guess I just felt the need to do something – Switzerland lacks a good youth magazine, and this one is being done 100% by volunteers (not even Christian gets any money – on the contrary, he’s donated his salary to the saving of his project), all in their early 20s, trying to put together a good magazine.

So here’s the button – any and all money donated by clicking it will go directly to financing the first nation-wide issue of Z?ndstoff:
